55. The Biomedics Premier is the aspheric version of the Biomedics 55, and it
is designed to provide greater visual acuity by correcting aberrations in both
lens and eye. The design of the Biomedics 55 Premier lens was created to perfectly focus the light that goes through the lens to the eye in a way that allows the user to have a perfected image no matter how much correction is needed for the particular user.
Patients who suffer from a spherical aberration have an inability to focus light. The Biomedics 55 Premier controls that aberration to give the user a more focused vision that is crisp and clear. It is also a thinner lens than is typical, which makes it very comfortable for the user.
The lenses that are designed for the consumer under the Biomedics name are now manufactured by CooperVision, which has an extensive line of contact lenses. Biomedics 55 Premier are a disposable lens that are cost effective for the consumer and also of a very high quality.
It is recommended by the manufacturer that a regular replacement schedule be determined by the doctor for patients who are wearing the Biomedics 55 Premier. They also recommend that the patient be gradually introduced to nighttime wear and for extended period of time. You will be fitted for your lens in your doctors office before the Biomedics 55 Premier lenses will be provided.
