It’s sometimes surprising when you look into the eyes of someone and you discover you’re not looking into blue, green or brown eyes but something akin to vampires, to monsters that it takes your breath away. But just for a minute. You realize then that that person is wearing what you may call “crazy contact lenses”, contact lenses that alter the color and appearance of your eyes. They’re different from the usual colored contact lenses though in that they have their own special designs and artistry that are derived from fiction, movies and basically any source that you can think of. That is why, they’re called crazy contacts because you can have whatever style or design that you desire.

But where do you get these crazy contacts? First of all, you need to get a doctor’s prescription to be able to buy them and use them regardless of whether you need eye correction or not. These may be contact lenses that you use for fun but they’re still medical devices so you need a prescription for them. Once you have a prescription, you may ask you doctor for some of the products that brand-name manufacturers have, like Crazy Lenses by Cooper Vision and Wild Eyes by Ciba Vision. Otherwise, you may look for reputable designers and retailers through the net.

Another word of caution when it comes to wearing contact lenses is that you should never share your contacts with anybody. This will lead to bacterial infection because these germs may be passed on from their eyes to yours. Make sure to also clean your lenses if you plan on wearing them regularly. The most that you can probably wear the lenses is 8 hours and you can never wear them overnight. Just take note of these precautions and you’ll enjoy your crazy lenses for a long time.
